Express & Star Baby and Toddler of Year contest returns
The hunt is on to find the most beautiful babies and the cutest toddlers across the Black Country and Staffordshire.
For the second year running, we have launched our Baby and Toddler of the Year contest and our photographer is getting ready to make sure your child looks picture perfect.
Last year we had more than 780 entrants but we would love to see even more youngsters taking part this time around.
Entry is free and open to parents/guardians within the Express & Star circulation area, with a child aged five or under.
Our photographer will be at the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton from tomorrow to July 27. Sessions will run from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The last photo will be taken at 4.15pm, Monday to Saturday, and 3.45pm on Sunday.
Parents can bring their children to be photographed.
They will then be invited back to choose the best picture to appear in the newspaper or one will be selected for them.
The children will be split into four age categories – 0-9 months, 10-18 months, 19-35 months and 3-5 years.
There will be a winner in all brackets, with a £500 for prize for each category, as well as an extra £250 for the overall winner.
To vote, simply choose your favourite from all the entries.
The photographs will also be featured in a special supplement in the Express & Star on September 11 and on our website.
Once you’ve chosen your favourite, cut out the special vote tokens which will be printed each day in the Express & Star from September 11 until October 12 and complete a voting tokens return form.
The deadline for returning tokens is October 18 and the winners will be announced by the end of November. Last year Shay Stevens, aged 16 months, claimed both a win in the 10 months to 18 months category, and the prize for the overall winner as well.
Little Edyth Hodgkiss, aged two, won in the 19 to 35 months category. Three-year-old Georgia Homer collected her award for the category three to five years.
And Willow Thornes was crowned the Baby of the Year in the nought to nine month category.
