Express & Star awards for top students
Two University of Wolverhampton students are celebrating after achieving Express & Star awards at their graduation ceremony.
Charlotte Lem and Lauren Birch both graduated with first-class degrees from their courses at a ceremony at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre yesterday.
Charlotte, 22, who studied multimedia journalism, was awarded the Express & Star Award for Excellence in Journalism, while Lauren, also 22, who studied visual communication, was awarded the Express & Star Award for Best Digital Editorial Design in Graphic Communication.
Charlotte, from Wolverhampton, said: “I was really overwhelmed and excited to find out I had been awarded the Express & Star Award for Excellence in Journalism.”
Lauren, who lives in Telford, added: “I found out I would be receiving the award at our degree show in June – I was absolutely over the moon.”
